On the day of arrival, the reservation appears in the Arrivals list on your dashboard. Open it and click 'Check in'. If no room unit is assigned yet, Qontaktly suggests an available one; you can accept it or pick a different unit.
Checking a guest in marks the room occupied and starts the stay. The guest receives their portal link (if they do not have it already), and any arrival automations you have configured, such as a WhatsApp welcome message, fire at this point.
On the day of departure, open the reservation and click 'Check out'. Qontaktly shows the folio first: room charges, extras, and payments, with any outstanding balance highlighted. Collect the balance, then confirm the checkout.
Checkout marks the room dirty and creates a housekeeping task automatically, so the room shows up on the housekeeping board without anyone typing anything. Once housekeeping marks it clean, the room is ready to sell again.
