The DMs you keep missing, in the inbox you already watch.
Guests find you on Instagram and message the account, not the website. Connect your own Instagram professional account and every direct message lands in the same inbox as WhatsApp, email, and your OTA threads, where the AI concierge can answer it around the clock.
Setting it up
- Add an Instagram inbox in Channels and paste the app ID and secret from your own Meta app.
- Copy the callback URL and verify token Qontaktly generates back into Meta, and subscribe that app to messages.
- Sign in with Instagram Business Login. Once Meta approves your app and verifies your business, real guests reach the inbox.
What you get
What the Instagram connection gives you
One inbox, not a fifth app
Instagram conversations sit in the same feed as WhatsApp, email, web chat, and OTA messages, with the same assignment, the same reply box, and the same history when a shift changes.
The agent answers, and can see the photo
Turn the AI concierge on for the Instagram inbox and it replies like it does anywhere else. When a guest sends a picture of the room they want, it reads the image rather than asking them to describe it.
Your Meta app, your credentials
This is a bring your own key connection: guests see your consent screen, not ours. The app secret and access token are sealed before storage and the secret is never readable back, not even by you.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need my own Meta app?
Yes. Instagram messaging runs on an app you own, so the permission screen carries your name and the access stays yours. Qontaktly generates the callback URL and verify token you paste into it, and the setup guide walks the Meta side step by step.
How soon can guests message me?
Immediately for accounts you add as testers, which is enough to try it end to end. Reaching every guest needs Meta to approve the two messaging permissions and verify your business, then you switch the app to live. That review is Meta's timeline, not ours.
